More information about the visiting authors and their work can be found at Meet The Authors - Savannah Book Festival
The annual Savannah Book Festival runs February 15 – 18. Festival Saturday includes free presentations by more than 30 authors appearing at different venues throughout Savannah.
The collaboration between SSU and the Savannah Book Festival dates back to 2012 and is coordinated by Dr. Lisa Yount, SSU professor of philosophy and vice president of the Savannah Book Festival Board of Directors. Each year the festival donates books to SSU students and the SSU Asa H. Gordon library.
“For the past twelve years, I have been honored to coordinate with the Savannah Book Festival through their SBF@Schools program to provide opportunities for the SSU community to attend exclusive, university-wide talks hosted by award-winning, best-selling authors,” said Yount.
To date, SSU has hosted more than 30 authors through this partnership, including the eight authors who will visit the campus on February 16.
“We appreciate the collaboration with the Savannah Book Festival and the unique learning opportunity it provides for our students, faculty, and staff. We are especially grateful for their generous donation of 160 books this year to support our campus commitment to student engagement,” said Yount.
