  Mr. Adrian Scott Named Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the SSU Foundation Savannah State University (SSU) Interim President Cynthia Robinson Alexander, J.D., is pleased to announce that Mr. Adrian Scott has joined Savannah State University as Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the SSU Foundation effective June 17, 2024. Mr. Scott brings a wealth of experience in advancement operations, fundraising, and donor and alumni relations. He will lead SSU’s fundraising, donor relations, and alumni affairs team at a time when the support of alumni, friends, and donors is critical to the university’s planned growth. Scott joins SSU from South Carolina State University where he has most recently served as Associate Vice President for Advancement and Chief Development Officer.   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 13, 2024 The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) today named members of the Savannah State University (SSU) Presidential Search Committee. The committee will conduct a national search for a permanent president to lead the historic university. President Cynthia Robinson Alexander has held the interim role since July 1, 2023, following the departure of the previous president, Kimberly Ballard-Washington.
