Dear Savannah State University Family,

On behalf of the Savannah State University Homecoming Committee, we, Moncello Stewart, Chair, and LeAndrea Mikell, Co-Chair, are excited to invite you to Homecoming 2024! Whether you're an alumnus, current student, proud parent, or cherished friend, this is your invitation to celebrate, reconnect, and immerse yourself in the traditions that make our university special.

Homecoming Week is a time-honored tradition, and this year, from October 20th to 27th, we invite you to experience the best of what SSU has to offer under our exciting theme: Welcome to the S.H.O.W. – Savannah’s Homecoming on the Water. This theme symbolizes the vibrant spirit of Savannah and the enduring pride we have in our university community.

We have an incredible lineup of events that we hope will bring everyone together in celebration. Some highlights include our always-popular Step Show, the Alumni Fish Fry/Yardfest, and of course, our much-anticipated Homecoming Game and Tailgate on Saturday, October 26th. These events, along with many others, offer something for everyone and promise to create lasting memories for all who attend.

Homecoming is more than just a series of events—it’s a time to reflect on what Savannah State University means to each of us. It’s a celebration of our rich history, a recognition of our continued excellence, and a demonstration of the Tiger spirit that unites us all. We also want to take this moment to acknowledge and thank our community partners whose unwavering support makes this celebration possible year after year.

We would be remiss not to recognize the hard work of our Homecoming Committee, whose dedication and commitment ensure that this week is a resounding success. Together, we work on behalf of Interim President Cynthia Robins-Alexander and the entire SSU family to create a memorable experience for everyone.

As proud Chairs of this year’s Homecoming, we are honored to serve our university in this capacity. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with so many dedicated individuals who share our passion for Savannah State. It is truly a privilege to help bring our community together for such a special celebration. Thank you for your continued love and support for Savannah State University. Whether you’re coming home or continuing your journey here, we can’t wait to welcome you to the S.H.O.W.!
