SSU Inclement Weather Campus Update

 


Attention Campus Community:

Due to torrential rainfall, there is limited flooding on campus and throughout the Chatham County community. Out of an abundance of caution, all classes will be shifted online for this afternoon, November 7th, in an asynchronous style learning environment.

Classes are expected to resume according to normal schedules on Friday, November 8th, 2024.

At this time, it appears that the rain is subsiding, and we will send further updates.

Please continue to use caution while driving both on and off campus. Please contact public safety with any questions or concerns at 912.358.3004.

SSU Foundation, Inc. Elects New Officers

    Chairwoman, Dr. Clementine Washington  The Savannah State University Foundation elected new officers during its 2025 winter board meeting held January 18 on the Savannah State University campus. The new officers will serve a 3-year term and were sworn into their new roles effective immediately. SSU Announces 40 Under 40 Awards

SSU Announces 40 Under 40 Awards Savannah State University (SSU) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural 40 Under 40 Awards to recognize young alumni of the university who have made significant contributions to their profession and community. “Ideal candidates for the award should have achieved notable professional success, demonstrated exceptional leadership in their fields, made a positive impact in their communities and embodied the values and mission of Savannah State University,” said Cynthia Robinson Alexander, J.D., SSU Interim President.
